Abstract:

One of the key areas in pharmaceuticals is the precise targeting of Drugs to selected cells or tissues. Drug targeting systems must control the fate of the Drug entering the body. Today's delivery technologies are numerous, with the so-called "magic bullet" scheme proposed by Paul Ehrlich at the beginning of the 20th century, in which the Drug is delivered precisely to the target. Nano Drug delivery systems (NDDSs) are categories of nanomaterials that increase the stability and solubility of Drugs in water, prolong the cycle time, increase the absorption rate of target cells or tissues, and reduce enzymes, thus improving safety. And Drug efficacy NDDS can be administered through existing routes including inhalation, oral administration or intravenous injection and remains better bioavailability. Nanoparticles are classified as nanoparticles with a diameter between 10 and 100 nm. During the design of nanoparticles, some controls such as release patterns and surface properties should be taken into account, which, with an appropriate dosing scheme, determine the activation of specific sites at optimal rates. Many new carriers have been registered for implants in the last ten years, including nanosomes, nanophytosomes, nanoemulsions, transferosomes, and autosomes. The aim of this study is to synthesize various newly developed technologies for Drug delivery of herbal medicines to improve therapeutic response.

Abstract:

delivery of Drugs into systemic circulation via skin has generated lots of interest during the last decade. Transdermal Drug delivery systems offer many advantages over the conventional forms or sustained release delivery systems. When technically feasible, topical delivery of Drug products for both local and systemic indications offer many advantages over oral or parenteral routes, such as the need for fewer administration, constant blood level, elimination of the potential for both under and overdosing, and avoidance of first-pass metabolism. Skin structure shows that it is relatively impermeable to exogenous substances and Drugs. Understanding this structure will help us to improve Drug delivery using proDrugs, chemical enhancers, iontophoresis, electroporation and ultrasound waves. This review will overview the structure and function of skin, the skin routes, the interactions between skin and Drug delivery systems and advantageous and disadvantageous of skin as a route for Drug delivery. Thus the properties and interactions of three entities-the skin, the Drug and the Drug delivery excipients-are going to be considered.

Abstract:

The hair follicle is an organ in the human skin. This organ consists of about 20 cell types. Hair follicles regulate hair growth with hormones, neuroproteins, and immune cells. This complex interaction leads to the production of diff erent hair by hair follicles seen on diff erent parts of the body. The stages of hair growth are: Anagen (active growth stage), Catagen (rest stage), Telogen (regression phase of the hair follicle), Exogen (active phase of hair erosion), and fi nally Kenogen (the time between hair follicle being empty and new hair growth) (1)...

Abstract:

Nanoparticles have been developed as an important strategy to deliver conventional Drug, recombinant protein, vaccines, and other biomolecules. Nanopatticles are tiny material (<1000nm in size) that have specific physiochemical properties different to bulk material of the same composition and such properties make them very attractive for commercial and medical development. Application of nanoparticles and nanomaterials for the diagnostic and therapeutic purpose is now significantly extended in nanomedicine. Use of Nanobiotechnology approach and nanomaterials open new prospects for creation of Drug and system for their directed transport. delivery of these molecules to specific areas with the body can be achieved, which will reduces systemic side effects and allow for more efficient use of the Drug. Polymeric nanoparticles have demonstrated enormous potential as cellular Drug delivery vehicles. The potential of Drug delivery system based on the use of nanoparticles from significant advantage such as: (i) the ability of target specific location in the body; (ii) the reduction of the quantity of Drug needed to attain a particular concentration in the vicinity of the target; and (iii) the reduction of the concentration of the Drug at nanotarget size minimizing severe side effect, and also cellular Drug delivery using nanoparticles is also affected by clearance through the reticuloendothelial system. Nanoparticles including dendrimers (3-5nm), micelle (5-10nm), emulsion (100-150nm), nano particulates system (20-150nm) and liposome (100-150nm) are used to target specific area in the body. The nanoprticles must be endow with characteristic needed to reach a given target, which means attaining a suitable combination of nature, size, way of conjugating the Drug to the NP (attach, absorbed, encapsulated), surface chemistry, hydrophilicity/hydrophbicity, surface functionalization, biodegradability, and physical response properties (temperature, PH, electric charge, light, sound, magnetism).
